BΛSE Residency Applications are NOW OPEN!!

Deadline to Apply is February 9, 2024 at 11:59 PM

Our BIPOC Artist Sanctuary & Enrichment (BASE) Residency Program is officially back! The BΛSE Residency intends to engage 5 early-career dance and performance BIPOC & QTBIPOC teaching artists in artistic and pedagogical activities that empowers them to engage with their community at large, lead performance workshops, and ultimately create a final performance. We intend to accomplish this by providing space and marketing, along with awarding a $2000 stipend per resident to be used for residency, workshop, and production needs.

New Classes at the SANCTUARY

Decolonizing Ballet

Mariana Sobral will be hosting a series of no barre ballet classes specially designed for the Sanctuary.

This is an intermediate to beginner-advanced community class that is based on ballet movement, and it focuses on technique, artistry, and musicality. You will be encouraged to discover your “Ballet Voice” while embracing your individuality. This class will combine the ABT NTC and Vaganova techniques alongside conditioning, which will help you rediscover your relationship with Ballet while working on fundamental technique and movement expressiveness.

Sundays Jan 11 – Apr 14
