Bio
Jesse Escalante (he/him) is a 29 year old San Francisco professional dancer and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He obtained his BA in Dance from San Francisco State and has since performed with various choreographers such as Daiane Lopes da Silva, PUSH Dance, Amy Lewis, Robin Dekkers, and David Herrera. Jesse has also choreographed numerous works discussing mental health, race, and queerness. Jesse obtained his Masters in Social Work from UC Berkeley in 2022 and has dedicated his work to supporting folks with mental health and substance use issues. This work has supported Jesse’s dedication to use dance as a forum to discuss difficult or stigmatized subject material.
