PUSH FORWARD (P4C) is funded by the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and individual supporters.
WHO CAN APPLY
P4C supports dancers, choreographers, teachers, and administrators whose work is based in the exploration and expression of the African diaspora in the San Francisco Bay Area.
WHAT’S NEW
This small relief fund centers “Recovery” and will be distributing funds to $500 each applicant individual or organization. Past P4C applicants and honorees are welcome to reapply.
PUSH FORWARD is a program for movement & dance practitioners from African American/Black communities who need financial help as a result of COVID-19, the economic crisis, and systemic racism. Applicants from the nine SF Bay Area counties are welcome to apply such as: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.
WHAT TO PREPARE
- URL of your work – All applicants should submit a video link of up to 5-minutes to their most recent work within the last 5 years.
- 300 word bio – Tell us about yourself and describe your artistic history, vision, and practice, as well as major areas of inquiry or process. This section should best reflect and represent the URL link you provided to us earlier.
- Headshot & Social Media Handles – This is for promotional reasons. Please help us spread the word about P4C on your social media
